We got to Kansas the land of more cows and more flat yellow fields. J We drove by a CAFO(concentrated animal feeding operations) which was sad. There were these huge piles of something and there was a cow standing on top and it must have been so hot because there was no shade in the whole yard! That wasn’t so cool but the rest of the drive today was uneventful. I’m reading Dairy Queen for the second time but I read it when I was in like 6th grade so I don’t really remember it. I’ve already read Looks and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (again) Reading makes long streches of grass more interesting and all but I tend to get a bit carsick…oh well. I get to sleep in a real bed and take real showers which is nice it seems like I’ve been covered in dust for a few days. But I’m not complaining I really like it here. I can’t wait to go to Cailfornia though! Well I’m getting tired it’s been a long hot day. -- Mollie
Mollie, Lucy and Jay Ward are driving across the country and back in a 1988 Class C RV in June and early July 2011. The plan is to visit some friends, some of the major sights across the country and generally have a great time!
